Some of our favorite cards are called secondary use cards or repurposed playing cards. Since paper was rare and expensive, local people would use the back of the card for personal use such as banking records Recording gold and silver transactions, IOU’s, important documentation, Recording historical dates and events, sending invitations , artwork, & political views ect, ect , plus dozens of other interesting purposes.
