Bobby entered Pro Football as a linebacker but a lack of speed forced him to find another position. He moved to center and played an additional 13 seasons and made it to the Pro Bowl in 1968. Bobby Maples would have turned 83 today but passed away from Hodgkin’s Disease back in 1991 at the age of 48.
