Baseball Cards

Welcome to the Baseball Card Collecting Mantel Group!

This is a community built for collectors who live and breathe baseball cards—from vintage legends to today’s hottest rookies. Whether you’re flipping through ‘50s cardboard, chasing 1/1s, or just cracked open your first blaster box, you’re in the right place.

Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming space where collectors at every level can connect, share, and grow. Post your latest pickups, show off your PC, trade tips on grading and storage, or just talk shop about the players and sets you love.

You’ll find hobby news, release day hype, market trends, and plenty of chatter around what’s heating up (or cooling off) in the baseball card world. We’ll also keep an eye out for big pulls, unique finds, and maybe drop a giveaway or two along the way.

No matter what team you root for or era you collect, this group is for anyone who loves the stories and history these cards capture. Let’s keep it friendly, helpful, and passionate—just like the hobby should be.

Thanks for being here—and let’s trade, talk, and collect some cardboard!

Basketball Cards

All things 🏀 all day every day for all Hoops Heads of all kinds!

Hey, this is Denny from Instagram and YouTube (denny_cards) and I am SO EXCITED to help get a basketball cards centric group going here on Mantel. I know I am in various areas of The Hobby, but my time, energy, interest, and of course collection, always go back to BASKETBALL CARDS.

It is the MOST egalitarian of all sports (equal to soccer), because all you need is a ball and a hoop. You don't need special equipment and accessories and permits to play at any time.

If you have ever played pick up ball, you know that you can have instant chemistry with complete strangers on the court.

That is the BEAUTY and MAGIC of basketball, and that is why I absolutely LOVE this game and always will.

I have been a collector of basketball cards since the early 90's and my favorite player to collect was Michael Jordan (like almost everyone else in the 90's even if you hated the Bulls haha). Back then, social media did not exist and so the entirety of my card community was my neighborhood friends and reading Beckett magazine.

I also collected from 2007 to 2012 when I was a young adult and went after my Florida Gators (Al Horford, Joakim Noah, Corey Brewer), and by extension, Kevin Durant (who is from the DMV area where I currently am from). Back then, social media was not what it is today and the online community for cards were only in blogs and forums, nothing like now, and that is why I am so excited for this group.

Welcome to this basketball group on Mantel and I hope you join and enjoy! Let's build a great community, one shot at a time. 💪
