Matt toiled in the Minors for 11 years and 1,289 games before he got his lone call to the Major Leagues where he played 42 games for the 1989 Kansas City Royals. After that season he went to Nippon Professional Baseball where he had four consecutive 30+ homer seasons. Matt Winters turns 66 today.
