I was shaking when the hammer came down on this piece...
Heritage held a Beatles memorabilia auction today to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the band's first appearance in the US.
There were tons of gems in the mix but what caught my eye was a series of original animation art from the Yellow Submarine film.
I entered my max bid thinking there was a slim chance, and sat down to watch the live auction. Was SHOCKED when I saw I had won – even moreso when the remaining artworks in the set ended up fetching anywhere from 2-4x the price.
As a huge fan of John, Paul, George, and Ringo, I'm ecstatic to add this piece of Beatles history to the collection.
