In honor of the NFL season starting this week (what a start to the season yesterday!), I wanted to list the 10 most valuable NFL cards that were sold public.
Here is the list:
Patrick Mahomes - 2017 National Treasures Rookie Auto (1/1) - $4.3M
Tom Brady - 2000 Playoff Rookie Ticket Auto - $3.1M
Patrick Mahomes - 2017 Panini Prizm Rookie (4/5) - $570K
Joe Burrow - 2020 Panini Immaculate Rookie Auto (1/1) - $534K
Tom Brady - 2000 Bowman Chrome Refractor Rookie - $498K
Patrick Mahomes - 2017 Panini Patch Auto Rookie (5/5) - $394K
Jim Brown - 1958 Topps - $358K
Bronko Nagurski - 1935 National Chicle - $350K
Joe Burrow - 2020 Panini Rookie Patch Auto (1/1) - $336K
Trevor Lawrence - 2021 Panini Patch Auto Rookie (1/1) - $312K
What is interesting to see is that 60% of this top 10 list are QB’s that are currently playing (with Mahomes and Burrows taking most of it). For reference, the highest sold Peyton Manning card was $72K. What do you think that means?
