One of the joys of collecting game-used equipment is matching a bat or shoes to a particular game.

I just picked up these cleats of Paul Goldschmidt from his 2017 season to go with a pair of 2017 batting gloves. After searching hi-res photos of Getty Images, I was able to match the size 14 shoes to several games including an Aug. 3, 2017 game in which Goldschmidt hit 3 home runs! He would finish third in NL MVP voting that year.
