From Prospect to Prime Time
Just a week ago on my Top Prospect Tuesday post, I highlighted Trey Yesavage from the Blue Jays. I figured he’d get that one start in the Series to make his mark — but wow, was I wrong.
His Game 1 outing was solid and showed poise beyond his years, but tonight in Game 5 he was absolutely lights out. Breaking two World Series records — 12 strikeouts, no walks, and his longest career start — all at just 22 years old.
To have the best game of your young career on baseball’s biggest stage… that’s the stuff dreams are made of.
