The anniversary of Thurman Munson's passing made me think of this card, and its origin story. It was the end of my second grade year, and our teacher was cleaning out her closet. She had confiscated a stack of cards in 1978, and decided to give them to me, well, at least a few of them. This, along with a Tom Seaver Hostess card, and a couple of 1978 Topps cards were the highlights. Unfortunately I had to share the stack with a classmate, so I didn't get a full treasure. 🤷‍♂
