1955 Red Man #7, Willie Mays ⭐ MLB Pioneer
This is an old Red Man Chewing Tobacco card collected by my Dad in 1955. Sometimes you find them with the tab, like this one and sometimes the tab has been removed.
Willie Mays began his professional baseball career in 1948 with the Birmingham Black Barons of the Negro American League, playing at historic Rickwood Field before joining the New York Giants in the majors in 1951. He started with the Giants' farm system (Trenton Giants/Minneapolis Millers) in 1950 and made his MLB debut with the New York Giants on May 25, 1951.
