One of the more interesting sports collectables, display boxes once held wax packs of cardboard and gum on the candy counter. Most were discarded when the last pack was sold and high grade examples of display boxes from the fifties and sixties are very tough to find.

This one from Topps first regular issue in 1952 could have contained Willie, Mickey, the Duke, and numerous other ⚾️ legends.
