Red Sox Stud from 1974–>1989

-Was part of the All Red Sox OF in the 1979 ASG along Fred Lynn & Carl Yastremski

-When he received the phone call about being elected into the baseball HoF he was watching the soap opera The Young & the Restless 😂

-In the minors he was known as Jim “Ed” Rice because of his middle name Edward.

-In 1982 ran out of the dugout to carry a child to the Red Sox medical office after the child was hit by a line drive foul ball.
