When I was a kid, my brother and I received the 88 donruss set from my grandma. These cards were loose in a bin and had no stars as they had been picked through. We learned to seek out people we thought were interesting or funny or a unique name. For whatever reason Rance stuck out to us and became a popular reference over the years. I joined the army when I was 20 and started carrying the pictured 88 Rance in my wallet. I would take pics of it in random locations as an excuse to message my brother. One year as a gift my brother got me the pictured Rance auto which he scooped for $1 plus shipping (if it's even real). A silly tradition with pretty much no meaning or reason turned into something I still do to this day and the card has seen better days. Anyone else carry a specific card around?
