• 1 of 2 players to lead an entire decade in hits and not voted into the HOF. Grace led the 1990’s in hits w/ 1,764 & Doubles w/ 364. The other player is Pete Rose who led the 1970’s with 2,045 hits which is the most ever in a decade.

• Grace pitched in a blowout loss to the Dodgers and gave up the only career HR to Dodgers catcher David Ross.

• Grace was in the Jim Belushi movie “Taking Care of Business”. This was JJ Abram’s first screenplay.

• While playing for the Cubs in ‘89 NLCS he batted .647. The Cubs lost to the San Francisco Giants

• He wore #17 in his career out of his admiration for fellow 1B Keith Hernandez

• He was basically the star of one of the most popular Jim Rome Show episodes because he described his “SlumpBuster” strategy.

• Won a World Series with the Diamondbacks in 2001
