I’ve been trying to downsize my collection as of late, and I came across a box full of 05 Bowman. I broke quite a bit that year and also scooped some off of eBay. What I realized though while skimming through my cards is how considerate the autographs were.

Today’s market is full of young athletes that sign a “swoosh” that’s supposed to be an autograph. Old school athletes had pride in the signature and I’m very aware that these 18 and 19 year olds are being asked to sign thousands of stickers for various companies all the time. Something is beautiful about the well penned mark of an athlete. I’ll be posting several of the 05 Bowman autos just for fun, some of these guys went on to have decent careers, some just stayed minor leaguers, but thank you for signing with care.
