“Dirty Waters” was one of the hardest hitting safeties of his era in the National Football League. He led the Philadelphia Eagles in tackles four times and was part of the reason the NFL banned hits on quarterbacks below the waist in the pocket. Andre Waters would have turned 64 today but took his own life in 2006 at the age of 44.
