These 2 cards are central to any Hank Aaron collection.
1957 is widely considered Hank Aaron's greatest overall season because it was his only MVP season while simultaneously leading the Milwaukee Braves to the World Series Crown over the mighty and heavily favored New York Yankees.
During the '57 season, the 23-year-old Aaron paced the N.L. in both home runs (44) and runs batted in (132), and hit for a .322 batting average.
His dominance culminated in a dramatic, pennant-clinching walk-off home run against the St. Louis Cardinals in September, followed by a spectacular World Series performance where he batted .393 with three home runs.
Additionally, one must not forget that Hank Aaron overcame enormous odds and great obstacles, starting his pro career in the Negro League with the Indianapolis Clowns.
