Oscar Estrada is an historically meaningful figure, particularly as part of the wave of Cuban-born players who navigated both the Negro leagues and Major League Baseball, which blurred the strict racial line that existed in MLB at the time.
In other words, Oscar Estrada represents the overlap between Black baseball and Latin baseball, which is often overlooked.
Oscar Estrada's MLB participation was limited in 1929, with the St.Louis Browns, yet still meaningful.
