The legend of satchel page lives on… A dominant picture of the Negro leagues, he made the transition to major league baseball. He pitched into his 50s and some say early 60s as his actual birthdate was uncertain. Glad to have this PSADNA certified autograph in my collection.

So I’ve been looking for this card for 20 years. I think there are only a few out there. I want(ed) one in ANY condition. I will liquidate so much of my collection for one. Some call it “the black Honus Wagner”. I think the last one sold as an SGC 20 (1.5) via REA in 2017. Is pay more for it if I could find one. In fact, SGC made these sample reprints to advertise for that sale. Even these little sample ones are collectible! It’s likely the closest I’ll ever get to one. Always on the hunt for Josh Gibson vintage anything. Ticket stub. Card. Memorabilia. Anything other than modern stuff.

I picked this one up last year. It’s probably a PSA 3 but has amazing centering, color, and eye appeal. I’ve always wanted one of these or one of his early Leaf cards. This fits my collection perfectly. His story, and longevity, are super cool to me. I’d love to find a couple more cards, on-card autograph, or tickets to his career.
