1940 Playball #141, Casey Stengel ⭐ Boston Bees
On October 25, 1937, Casey Stengel is named the manager of the Boston Bees. Stengel replaced another Hall of Famer, Bill McKechnie, who guided the Bees to a fifth-place finish in 1937. Stengel managed Boston over the next six seasons, never finishing higher than fifth place.
He managed the Oakland Oaks in the Pacific Coast League and then went on to Hall of Fame greatness managing the NY Yankees.
