So this is some greatness from my collection and I wouldn't have some of these books here if I never knew personally Neal Adams! So that being said there not for sale well not all of them but I might sell some of these books, just don't know what they're worth with this grade here! And you know how you can grade sports illustrated magazines with CGC, well what do you think they'd say about popular mechanics magazine issue number 1? If I was to submit issue number 1 you think they would grade it for me? And what would something like that possible be worth you reckon people? Superman 16 so you know I did sell that during the start of the pandemic on eBay for $1,650 as a buy it now as well as Cow Puncher #1 in the same condition as well as a near complete collection of Worlds Finest Comics and a near complete collection of Adventure Comics and Gene Autry #1 By Fawcett Publications. And well that was so funny so you've heard of keycomics.com right. Well I remember emailing the owner the first time I used this website asking them why they didn't have Gene Autry #1 as a key comic book. And the way this person got at me made me laugh so hard! So he says to me why I collect comic books when I should quit collecting and pick up a new hobby seriously cause you don't know anything about comic books! I told him we'll you going to look like a fool when you go find out it's not only a key comic book, but it's the key comic book to all Western comic's! And just so you know Ghost Rider comic books was released with the Pale Rider in I believe 1967, but for Comic books it started with Tim Holt #11 I believe! This person told me okay bud you just got your account blocked because you want to speak crazy about stuff that ain't even accurate seriously where are you getting your fact? And well so you know Ghost Rider actually came out on the cover of a magazine back in the 30's through the 40's I believe! He said I'll look into it I told him we're are you going to look to determine this information he tells me comics.org! I told him why your there check out Tim Holt 17 & 21 and go to the bottom right part of the website and when you see the name David LaMattina go ahead come back and tell me your sorry for ever questioning me about comic books. I had my phone on speaker phone and well I mentioned my close personal friend was Neal Adams and well he heard this kid say yeah right! So Neal writes down on a piece of paper get his name, so he gave it to me and he is still running his mouth for almost ten minutes so Neal takes the phone hangs it up. Calls someone who might be his boss and he got this just by looking at his website and seeing the layout and guess what, first person he called knew him was his Boss! And not even 5 minutes later called my phone wanting to offer me a lifetime subscription to his website and to offer me an apology for his actions! And then he said to me by the way who the hell is Neal Adams, and how does he know my Boss. I told him go look at a Batman comic book or Adventure Comic Book so you can find out before you truly get fired Bud seriously! He said reading a comic book will tell me who Neal Adams is I said Bud yes please don't ask anyone who collects comic books that question seriously I don't want you to be laughed at seriously bud and when you find out just be happy I didn't hand him the phone okay bud! So I got off the phone and Neal says to me your lucky you served as an Army Ranger David, cause I was thinking of chocking you out to get your phone! But was afraid you might have a flashback on me from serving 13 years and deploying 8 times overseas! I said have a flashback on you Neal never I have one everyday I speak to you Bud you know why because I wonder if you still do paint by Numbers lol or have you managed to figure out how to use that big window thingy magicguuer yet! He said go screw yourself David! Lol! Miss that dude he was such a funny person if you knew him you would know he was great and well during covid-19 people would Mail him books to sign! And he said not even on lockdown can I get a break seriously this is the life of a comic book artist I guess! Funny thing is he asked me to sign a few of those books lol and well when he passed his wife said David he set these books aside for you to mail for him to those 4 people who's books you signed to ease the tension! So I mailed out a few rare books such as Captain Flash #1 CGC GRADED 7.5, Superman #5 CGC GRADED 6.0, Mad Magazine #1 CGC GRADED 8.5 and Batman #17 CGC GRADED 8.0! Hopefully they weren't to upset with him lol he just couldn't sign his name anymore towards the end of his Day's!
