Bill was a relief pitcher for all or parts of seven Major League seasons. He had a career high 73 appearances (fourth in the National League) and 10 saves with the 1983 Cuncinnati Reds and was on the 1984 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers team. Bill Scherrer turns 68 today.
