A reserve outfielder for 10 Major League seasons, Larry is the only player to break up a perfect game bid with two outs in the ninth by drawing a walk, spoiling Milt Pappas’ bid on 2 September 1972. Larry Stahl passed away Tuesday at the age of 84.
