Charlie Gehringer was a second basemen for the Detroit Tigers playing 19 seasons for them. He finished his career with a .320 batting average, 2,839 hits and 1,427 RBI. He was named AL MVP in 1937 and a World Series champion in 1935. Gehringer was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1949.
This variant may have only been released in Europe and Australia. Covers featuring college players Allen Iverson and Charle's O'Bannon were distributed across most North American markets.
