El Sid | 1986 Topps Mini Leaders

Sports Cards

Hawaii Five-O

Lefty

NY Mets

Pitchers

I’m a little disappointed the rough shape this card is in.

Sid Was born and raised in Hawaii-that’s why he wore #50 (for state #50)

Sid was one of the hardest pitchers to hit in the history of MLB. His opponents batting avg against him was just .209. Only behind Nolan Ryan and Sandy Koufax

The Dodgers traded El Sid to the Mets in 1983 because he left winter ball early. And the reason why he left is was because he was homesick, not the arm injury that the Dodgers claimed.
