Among the “sports things that don’t get talk about enough”, I have the Kenny Lofton curse as #1. How can one man have all this happen to him?

Did you know he also played college hoops at Arizona? He lost ‘88 Final Four to Oklahoma.

Breaks out with Cleveland as an MLB outfielder and loses the ‘95 WS in 7 to the Braves, their only title with that legendary rotation.

Loses ‘98 ALCS to the then-wins-record holding New York Yankees at the peak of their dynastic run.

Loses ‘99 LDS to peak Pedro Martinez.

Loses ‘01 LDS to another wins record holding team in the Mariners.

Goes to the Giants for Bonds best postseason run, one of the best ever in ‘02 WS and loses to the Angels, their only WS victory, in 7 games.

In 2003 he moved on to the Cubs…any guesses who was in CF for the “Bartman Game”?? That’s right, Kenny Lofton.

Heads to his former rival Yankees in 2004…part of the only blown 3-0 lead in MLB history in the LCS vs curse breaking Boston.

The Red Sox would again do a Lofton team in painfully, as his return to Cleveland in 2007 was punctuated with a blown 3-1 lead in that ALCS.

What a wild run he had..to have that many brushes with history..and ALWAYS be on the wrong side!
