Years ago, on Cage’s podcast, (At the time, it was “Lukas, Tigers, and Brons - Oh my!” now it’s The Hobby with Cage) he talked about the Gallery of Heroes insert set from the late 90s and early 2000s. Despite collecting back then, I’d never seen them.

As soon as I saw the cards, I was hooked. They’re semi-transparent like real stained glass. Photos don’t do them justice.

This 1998 Griffey is the best of the best in my opinion. This is the “jumbo” version that was only produced in 1998. (I’ll post the standard size vs jumbo size later.)

Topps brought this back in a few recent baseball sets. All of the Gallery of Heroes set are really cool, but this is on a level by itself.
