As typical of Mars' works, the duplicity of America's obsession with celebrity and material goods is on full display. Monroe's duplicated portrait is washed out with colorful yellow and green stripes, with vintage magazine and newspaper clippings throughout, and the unmistakable Chanel No. 5 perfume logo and tagline layered over a red American flag star pattern.
