I know we're a few days removed from Luka Doncic's second game in Dallas since he was traded, but it was interesting for me to read about how he was arguably the Mavericks' second-best player of all-time (Dirk Nowitzki being #1, of course). I realize the Mavericks have only been around since 1980 and don't have the history other franchises have, but one of its four retired numbers is for Brad Davis - not exactly a name etched in NBA lore.
Given Luka's age and talent, I started wondering what he would need to accomplish in order to be considered one of the Lakers' all-time greats. Obviously multiple titles and a couple of MVP awards, but would that even be enough to bump any of the Lakers' Top 5?
