Thought this little nugget from today's The Athletic Windup newsletter would be worth sharing with the Mantel gang on a Friday. I knew that something like this helped inspire The Natural, but don't remember if I ever got all the details about it. In any event, I definitely never knew it was captured on a baseball card... Here's the subsequent write-up:
