Reds Great

1921 Exhibits A. Earl 'Greasy' Neale
Before Elly De La Cruz there was "Greasy" Neale - fast as lightning.
Greasy is commonly credited as the first Major League player to steal second base, third base, and home on consecutive pitches, accomplishing the feat in 1922, for the Cincinnati Reds.
Elly De La Cruz stole second, third, and home on consecutive pitches on July 8, 2023 while playing for the Cincinnati Reds in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers
Earl “Greasy” Neale was one of the most remarkable two-sport figures in early 20th-century American athletics, leaving a distinct mark on professional baseball before becoming better known in football. He is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.
