Before Elly De La Cruz there was "Greasy" Neale - fast as lightning.
Greasy is commonly credited as the first Major League player to steal second base, third base, and home on consecutive pitches, accomplishing the feat in 1922, for the Cincinnati Reds.

Earl “Greasy” Neale was one of the most remarkable two-sport figures in early 20th-century American athletics, leaving a distinct mark on professional baseball before becoming better known in football. He is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.

On December 8, 1914, Connie Mack sold SS Eddie Collins to the Chicago White Sox for $50K.
Eddie Collins became the White Sox' franchise-changing superstar and one of the greatest players ever to wear a Chicago uniform.
Over 12 seasons with the White Sox (1915–1926), Collins hit .331, had a .428 OBP, stole 368 bases, played Gold Glove–caliber shortstop and was one of the best baserunners and smartest overall players in baseball.

There are some Exhibit Supply Company cards that evoke nostalgic feelings for baseball, in me, that are unmatched.
Eddie Collins was one of baseball’s greatest second basemen, known for his superb hitting, speed, and intelligence on the field. Over a 25-year career, mostly with the Philadelphia Athletics and Chicago White Sox, he collected 3,315 hits, stole 741 bases, and helped lead his teams to four World Series championships. A master of both offense and defense, Collins was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939 as a true legend of the game.

On October 16, 1909, the Pittsburgh Pirates won their first World Series in franchise history, at Bennet Park in Detroit.
The Bucs won Game 7, behind a complete game, 8-0, shutout from rookie pitcher Babe Adams.
Adams was the winning pitcher in 3 of the Bucs 4 World Series victories.
