Clearly, Kobe Bryant was the highlight of the class of 1996-97. Of course, Iverson, Ray Allen, Marcus, Camby, Walker, Nash, Kittles, and others were also great in that year. Topps used to have a members only club that required an annual pay the subscription to join. One could then purchase members only club cards directly from Topps. These are far more rare than the regular Topps Dinest rookies, but still aren’t too difficult to find. I love how the matching purple and gold colors of the Lakers really makes this card pop. If you’re going to buy a Fnest Kobe Bryant rookie, this is the one I would recommend you purchase. They are still hard to gem due to the protective peel.
