Prospecting is a very difficult hobby choice. I have had some huge wins throughout my collecting years like Gunnar Henderson, Bobby Witt Jr., Manny Machado, Francisco Lindor, Jackson Merrill and several others. I’ve also had many that didn’t pan out like Christian Pache, Clint Frazier, Blake Swihart, Austin Hendricks, and many more. I chose to collect Brett Lawrie over Mike Trout. I made an error by not collecting Skenes because of pitchers history of blowing out their arms. Nathan Flewelling could go to either list but I’m hoping for a superstar. It’s not about flipping for profit either. I really enjoy watching a kid grow into a man through the game of baseball. What are your thoughts on prospecting?
