One of the things I love most about collecting baseball cards is the prospect holding game. There’s just something about the strategy of it all — trying to predict who’s going to be the next breakout star, who to hold onto, and who might fizzle out. It’s part research, part gut feeling, and part pure fun.

There’s nothing like seeing a player you believed in from day one finally make it big — knowing you called it before everyone else did. That’s the kind of hobby thrill that keeps me hooked.

What prospects are you holding right now that you believe in? Do you think Jesus Made will live up to his hype?

One of the biggest names in all of baseball, and my first iteration of prospecting, Gregg Jefferies was the can’t miss superstar of the future. All of us kids were gonna retire from. In actuality, he had a very respectable major league career playing for the Mets and the Cardinals and is an all-around good guy. I still have a few of these from my young collecting days and they still make me happy. Yes, I wasn’t able to retire off them, but they still bring me some joy. Which, is kind of the point of collecting, isn’t it?

Been holding his stack a while! Its truly amazing watching an investment and good human take off!

Really putting a lot of stock into Alejandro Osuna. He’s making waves in the minors and I think he’s gonna dominate once he truly enters the league
