George Herman "Babe" Ruth, a/k/a the Sultan of Swat, the Titan of Terror, the Colossus of Clout, the King of Crash, and the Great Bambino (among other nicknames) passed away OTD in 1948.

I've had this framed piece of his game-used bat since I was a kid, and it's always been one of my favorite pieces for obvious reasons.
