I remember when Benito Santiago was a hot rookie card. He had a long hitting streak hi rookie year (~34 games). He had a long career. Even though he wasn’t a perennial all star, he had longevity.

Andy Benes was a hot rookie card at the time too. I think Andy’s career highlight was signing a contract extension 45 minutes after the deadline and the contract being null and void. He then signed with the expansion Arizona Diamondbacks and started in their inaugural game.
