What should you do?

If the download appears completely stuck for a long period, check whether the downloaded amount is increasing. If the number continues to increase, the process is working even if the time estimate looks alarming.

Important: Don't disconnect the iPhone simply because the estimated time is high. The estimate can change as the download progresses.
