Topps Football Cards

The first 96 hours of 2026 Topps Flagship Football are done. The top sales are in. And the market already established a complete tiering system before a single regular season snap was played.

Fernando Mendoza is the undisputed number one chase. His Real One Auto Redemption Gold numbered to 50 sold for just under $12,000. The top sale of the entire window. A redemption. Someone paid $12,000 for a card that does not physically exist yet. His RPA Gold numbered to 50 moved at $7,700. His base First Signatures at $2,550. Three auto types at three completely different price points. The market is still finding where he actually sits.

The most interesting data point is not Mendoza. It is the $10,000 ceiling. Josh Allen, Caleb Williams, and Patrick Mahomes All Kings all sold for exactly $10,000. Three different cards, three different players, same price. That is a psychological price ceiling forming in real time and it tells you exactly where the market places the premium tier outside the number one pick.

The All Kings insert is the breakout story. Jahmyr Gibbs and Bo Nix both moved at $2,500 despite Nix reaching the AFC Championship game. The insert premium is running ahead of the player premium. Design, scarcity, and the novelty of All Kings in football for the first time are driving demand almost independently of who is on the card.

The sleeper: a Ty Simpson 1991 Red Mojo Refractor Auto numbered to 5 sold for just under $8,000. Third highest sale in the window. Not Mendoza. Not a veteran. A Ty Simpson numbered to 5. That is what extreme scarcity does to pricing regardless of player tier.

Drew Allar RPA numbered to 5 hit $4,200. The Pittsburgh market is already responding.

The tiering system formed in 96 hours: Mendoza at $7,700 to $12,000. Premium veterans and extreme scarcity cards at $8,000 to $10,000. All Kings for established stars at $2,000 to $2,500. Base First Signatures at $1,300 to $2,550.

Every price point moves when performance demand kicks in. Watch for the drop over the next few weeks before that happens.

The data is real. The market is speaking. Are you listening to what it is actually saying or what you want it to say?
