I’m a retired sales account manager who started buying hockey cards at age 10. Those garbage bags filled with 1960’s and 70’s hockey stars are all but a memory as they were lost during a move. Early 1990’s my brother in law and I began collecting all Upper Deck hockey and baseball and my brother in law really focussed on Wayne Gretzky rookie cards (O’Pee Chee mostly). My niche became Upper Deck’s Heroes insert sets, hockey and baseball, mainly. I sold off much of my collection when my wife and I downsized from a house to a condo. I now have Upper Deck Hockey Legends Masterpieces 87 card set, which I think is one of the most beautiful collections of all of hockey’s greatest players as if painted by artists upon canvas. I have Upper Deck’s Hockey heroes from 1950’s 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s and 2000’s complete. Also, 2 X 4 card sets which feature older players like Harmon Killebrew, Rollie Fingers, Vida Blue. I have a Baseball Heroes set of older stars from Upper Deck which is roughly 100 cards in total. These are my main collection of sports cards kept in a blue plastic box with a hinged top that snaps shut.
