To peel or not to peel?

Picked this up from my favorite LCS today.

The card is going into my PC, but I'm grading it for PSA Registry purposes (btw, if you're working on the Allen Iverson or Anfernee Hardaway Master Sets, let me know!). I'm removing the protective film to fix the edge issue and - in my opinion - increase the visual appeal. Hopefully, the surface will stay intact.

How do you handle protective film, especially for PC cards? Do you remove the protective film or leave everything intact?

No peel…

I love peeling old cheap cards. But in my PC and more expensive cards I’d say leave it as @EPonMantel pointed out most cards have been peeled so owning a non peeled is going to be more rare as time passes and will be cooler. Obviously if the peel is all messed up then I’d peel it just to make the card look decent.

Team Don’t Peel. 99.9% of cards have no peel-able film on them, and once you take it off, it looks like any other card (a nice card, but a card). The peel is sort of goofy and unique, which adds to the enjoyment for me

I’m team peel for most 90s inserts/cards. Some people use tweezers.. which is fine…just gotta be careful. I use a lint remover tape roll and gently rub near a corner and it will start peeling

The difficulty is removing the film without jacking up the edge when starting the peel. But once it’s off, the card looks great.
