I went to an eBay Live event yesterday for All Star week, where they were showing off an insane Kobe game worn ASG jersey (2011, from his final ASG game in LA where he won MVP), some amazing cards and a few graded Slam Magazine covers.

They had a panel featuring our friends @Buster and Josh Luber, along with the Slam editor, Karvin Cheung (creator of Exquisite) and Andy Bernstein, the legendary NBA photographer.

At the end of the panel Andy asked a trivia question- name the one non player with a jersey hung in the rafters at Crypto.com, and I was the winner.

The answer? Chick Hearn. And if you’ve seen my sports broadcaster PC you know why I got that right!

Andy gave me the new Mamba & Mambacita Forever book, which he created with Vanessa Bryant. All about the murals of Kobe and Gigi around the world- they seem to be on every block here in LA. Part of the fabric of the city.

Really fun event and very cool to add this book to my collection (along with his great book, The Mamba Mentality), and get some time with Andy, who is as responsible for telling the story of the last 40 years of basketball than anyone else on earth.
