Shapur I was the ruler of the Sassanian Empire from 240-270 AD, consolidated a lot of territory, won a lot of wars and was one of the only rulers of that time that welcomed and did not persecute the Jews.
The coins pictured here take two forms, the larger ones are silver drachms and the smaller ones are silver obols. The only main type missing from my collection is a gold one.
