No pitcher has gone into the baseball hall of fame in Cooperstown as a Pittsburgh Pirate.
Phillippe is arguably a Top 5 all-time Bucs pitcher.
Phillippe is foundational to Pirates pitching history (1899–1911).

His 1903 World Series performance (3–0, three complete games in six days) is arguably the greatest single postseason by any Pirates pitcher.
