1954-55 Cincinnati Reds Postcards, Portrait to Neck ⭐ Nino Escalera, Autograph
Thank goodness this ultra-rare autographed Reds team-issued post card of MLB Pioneer Nino Escalera was returned and with good grading results.
Nino Escalera has no other playing days issued cards during his time in MLB.
It took 7 months to grade, but who's counting.😂
This ultra-rare piece is an important part of baseball history because Nino Escalera broke the color barrier for the Cincinnati Reds.
On April 17, 1954, at Milwaukee County Stadium, 24-year-old Escalera became the first black to play for the Cincinnati Reds franchise.
He entered the game in the seventh inning as a pinch hitter and hit a single in a 5–1 loss to the Milwaukee Braves.
