1955 Disney Barratt Mickey's Sweet Cigarettes Set explained (3 of 36)

This card #1 - titled Gus is the only representation from Cinderella in the entire set. How is there no Cinderella character card? The animated movie debuted in 1950. If there's a flaw with this set, it's because Gus is the #1 card and there's no Cinderella card. That decision is very perplexing to me.
Here's the info from the back of the card. And the stories told in so few words on the back of each individual character card is why I believe that this set has significance in the world of Disney cards.
Card #1 - Gus
"Gus is one of the two little mice that befriend Cinderella in her loneliness in the wicked Stepmother's House. Lucifer the cat is always chasing Gus but in spite of this Gus still stays the tubbiest of mice."

1955 Disney Barratt Mickey's Sweet Cigarettes Set explained (1 of 36)

This is an experiment so let's see how it goes. For the next 36 days, give or take, I will post about the 1955 Barratt & Co. Ltd Disney Characters set (nicknamed Mickey's Sweet Cigarettes). The set needs some explanation.
My best card, for picture purposes and grade, is Snow White (embedded here). Snow White PSA 9 is POP 1 of 1, none higher; there is only one other PSA 9 which is for Bambi; no PSA 10 examples exist of any card from the 35 card set.
There are a total of 2 PSA 9 examples, and only 17 PSA 8 examples across the 35 card set. See https://www.psacard.com/pop/non-sport-cards/1955/barratt-co-ltd-walt-disney-characters/76870
For transparency purposes, I own a number of these cards (approximately 156 of the 519 PSA graded cards). That's 30% of the total graded cards for the non-math inclined.
My set collections can be located here which details the majority of those 156 PSA graded cards. I do sell and trade them from time to time. But at least you can't complain/argue about being "duped," "pumped," or otherwise "deceived": https://www.psacard.com/psasetregistry/sittindukk/othersets/209595
You'll see I've listed approximately 5 sets in various stages of completion.
Overall, the set is comprised of the following from the below animated movies, plus Pluto, goofy, three pigs, Huey, Dewey, Huey, and Chip/Dale, etc., with the number in the list ndicating the approximate release order of the animated movies, independent of other Disney animated releases.
Coincidentally, Disneyland opened in July, 1955.
Generally, the first issue of Mickey’s Sweet Cigarettes was released in 1955 by Barratt to include a composite set of 35 Disney characters from 7 feature films (22 characters) and other animated stories (13 characters) spanning 1928 through 1953. The feature films include:
1. 1937: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (G) - 8 characters
2. 1940: Pinocchio (G) - 3 characters
5. 1941: Dumbo (G) - 1 character
6. 1942: Bambi (G) - 3 characters
16. 1950: Cinderella (G) - 1 character
18. 1951: Alice in Wonderland (G) - 1 character
20. 1953: Peter Pan (G) - 5 characters

The complete checklist and a rough estimation of the first appearance of the named character appearing on the card (appearing as an image, will fix later).
