1971 Topps #620, Hi-Number ⭐️ Frank Howard
There's nothing like a well loved card that you pulled as a kid and has remained in your PC through the years.
I pulled this card in the Summer of 1971 and loved it well.
I love it just as much today.
Frank Howard, "Hondo", was one of the most feared power hitters of his era.
He was 6-foot-7 and weighed over 250 pounds.
He was a physical marvel and carried the additional nicknames of "The Capital Punisher" and "The Washington Monument," with the Senators.
He finished his career with 382 home runs at a time when 30 home runs was a huge season.
Trivia Time --
Frank hit the last home run in Washington Senators history (1971), and
He hit the first home run in Texas Rangers history after the franchise relocated.
