I feel like we all need a boost of inspiration once in a while.
Hence my visual of all those professional baseball players who were recipients of The Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian award in the United States. The President of the United States gives this award to honor people who make very important contributions to American security, world peace, culture, or other major public and private fields.
It was created by President Harry S. Truman in 1945 to reward civilian work during World War II.
It was re-established in 1963 by President John F. Kennedy to honor peacetime achievements.
