I first heard about Tong when he appeared on the top auction list in Ottonau, and he's having an absolutely master season in AA Binghampton. MLB Pipeline has him listed as the #4 prospect in the Mets system, but I predict he'll move up with the mid-season revision. The Ontario native is 22 years old and throws with a Lincecum-esque overhand delivery. His fastball tops out at only 94 mph, but it features a filthy 20-inch vertical break. His secondary pitches include a 74-76 mph curve with 65 inches(!!) of break that he tunnels off the fastball, a slider, and a Vulcan changeup.

Statistically, he's carrying a 2.02 ERA, 15.24 K/9, 4.96 BB/9, and a 54.9% groundball rate.

Even though they are not worth what we thought they’d be, Gregg Jefferies cards are classic junk wax.
