This is one of the first boxing cards I acquired.
Joe Jeannette was known as one of "The Big Four" and a Heavyweight Black Boxing Champion.
Four Black boxers in the heavyweight division of the early 1900s, who were considered dominant fighters, were consistently denied title shots due to racial discrimination.
The others include, Sam Langford, Sam McVey and Harry Wills and are featured prominently in my PC.
